Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the shifting crew is aware of production targets and that operations proceed following the Production Schedule.

  • Notify concerned operations groups of both planned or unplanned downtime as well as changes in the Production Schedule during his shift.

  • Ensure that work instructions are followed at all times by the shifting crew.

  • Take prompt action and coordinate with other departments to overcome operational problems and reduce mill downtime.

  • Monitor the line, anticipates potential problems before they arise to take the necessary preventive action.

  • Ensure that all goods produced conform to set standards.

  • Bars produced at the finishing end as well as samples were taken are personally checked for correctness regularly.

  • Prepare a daily summary report of the shift’s performance for key personnel.

  • Turn over relevant information to the succeeding head of shift (e.g., changes made to the line to rectify problems, changes that need to be done by the succeeding shift, recurring operational problems, and an update of the production schedule.)

  • Ensure discipline and compliance with company policies in the workplace.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of any Engineering courses.

  • Preferably with 2 years of Supervisory experience.
